Lester Laine Obituary

Lester Leon Laine, lover of lilies, died on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 5:35 PM. Beloved husband of the late Marjorie Futch Laine by second marriage and the late Jeanne Bourgeois Laine by first marriage. Father of Marlene Laine Patterson, Jeanne Laine Vigreux, Marian Laine Gutierrez and Clay Leon Laine. Stepfather of Mary Hector Salzer, Michael Dewey Hector, Francis Norbert Hector, Robert Carroll Hector and Sybil Hector Pfeffer. Brother of the late Virgie Laine Lionnet and the late Jessie J. Laine. Son of the late Louis S. Laine and the late Lucille Poche Laine. Also survived by 26 grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by 2 grandchildren. Age 97 years. A native of Thibodeaux, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA for 32 years. Mr. Laine was retired from Tenneco. He was a member of the Men's Amaryllis Club and was a former parishioner of St. Ann Church. The relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Wednesday morning, February 15, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Graveside service and interment will follow at Tylertown Cemetery in Tylertown, MS at 2:00 PM.
