Lillian D. Lammi, age 79, of Brantwood, WI, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024, after a short battle with cancer with extended complications. Lillian was born on December 5, 1944, in Tomahawk, WI, to the late Taumo and Dorothy (Pemper) Maki. She married the love of her life, Terry Lammi, on July 13, 1963; he passed away after 57 years of marriage on July 7, 2020.
Lillian worked at Phillips Plastics for over 30 years until her retirement in 2011. She made many lasting friendships throughout her employment and her lifelong friends in Tomahawk also meant the world to her. Lillian's cat, Tinks, was her everything. He was her companion, travel buddy, and loving little boy. She enjoyed watching the birds, especially the hummingbirds. She was a "whisperer" attracting many birds that would remain for the season. Lillian spent her time gardening, loved music festivals and a Friday fish fry, and enjoyed socializing on Facebook and Snapchat.
Lillian is survived by her beloved cat, Tinks; her daughters, Kim (Todd) Gregory, of Greenville, WI, Terrie (Shawn) Murphy, of Barneveld, WI, and Pam Lammi, of Superior, WI; her sisters, Lisa (Darrell) Kestler, of Brantwood, WI, and Laura (Ray) Varela, of St. Paul, MN; her brothers, Richard T. Maki, of Brantwood, WI, Bill (Mary) Maki, of Brantwood, WI, James (Maxine) Maki, of St. Paul, MN, and Robert (Marlys) Maki, of Rhinelander, WI. Lillian is further survived by her seven grandchildren, Gavin Gregory, Lorin Gregory, Christopher Lammi, Desiree (Dustin) Wiita, Michael Esterholm, Tommy Lammi, and Samantha Murphy; and her six great-grandchildren, Aleeahh Esterholm, Christian Esterholm, Elizabeth Wiita, Lilly Wiita, Landon Wiita, and Archer Wiita. She was preceded in death by her parents, Taumo and Dorothy; her husband, Terry; and her sister, Paulan Braden.
