Lloyd Raymond Bothner

Lloyd Raymond Bothner passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023 in Destrehan, Louisiana at the age of 97. Beloved husband of the late Audrey Mae Otis Bothner. Beloved father of the late Jeanene Bothner Moran (William), Geralyn Bothner Bateman (Micky), and Brian Raymond Bothner (Stephanie). Loving PaPa of Lisa Moran Malbone (Nelson), Keith Michael Moran (Jacki), Scott Matthew Moran (Jennie), Michelle Bateman McKinnon (Ryan), Brett Daniel Bateman (Melissa), Emily Elizabeth Bothner, and Stephen Brian Bothner. Great-Grandfather of 14 and Great-Great-Grandfather of 6. Son of the late Herman Henry Bothner, Sr. and Albertine Motsch Bothner. Brother of the late Nelda, the late Alvin, the late Herman, Jr., and the late Norbert. Also survived by many other relatives and friends. Lloyd was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He retired from the United States Postal Service in 1980. Lloyd was a devout Catholic through his entire life. He had a lifelong love of ballroom dancing, square and round dancing. He and his late wife spent much of their free time traveling around the United States. He also loved bowling, golf, and baseball. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Road, Destrehan, LA 70047 on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 AM. Internment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, 11316 River Rd., St. Rose, LA 70087.
