Lloyd J. Zeller Jr. passed away on September 11, 2017. Lloyd was born on December 12, 1958. He was preceded in death by his father Lloyd Zeller Sr. and 2 siblings. Lloyd is survived by his wife of 32 years, Rhonda Hyde Zeller, his mother Harriet D. Zeller, his children Nicholas (Elisabeth), Stephanie and Christie Zeller and 5 siblings. He is also survived by Ralph, Marilyn and Sherri Hyde. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Friday, September 15, 2017 in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans at 1 pm. Aunt Harriet and family, My brothers and sisters just found out about Lloyd's passing. We are so sorry that we did not know in time to attend the service. We all have such great memories of Lloyd and the CYO baseball years. He was always a spark and motivator for the team and those memories are treasured ones for all of us. Our deepest sympathies are with all of you at this time. Lloyd was a great guy and touched many lives through his umpiring. He indeed left a legacy.

Dear Miss Harriett and Zeller Family, I am saddened to learn of Lloyd's passing. I was fortunate to serve as young Lloyd's baseball coach at Lakeland Terrace. I'll always remember his determination and unselfishness that standout to me even more now, years later. He was respected and loved by his teammates who saw Lloyd's genuineness and big heart! Dear Zeller Family,

I am sorry for your loss. I had only known Lloyd for a few years, as we officiated multiple sports together. Every time we spoke, we were laughing about something, be it his obstruction calls in baseball & softball, or different plays we had seen.
He will be missed by the officials, coaches, and players who knew him.

Dear Zeller Family, I have never met you, but you have my deepest condolences. I wanted you all to know how much Lloyd was respected and liked by parents of young athletes. My son played baseball and basketball at Pelican Park for 7 years and Lloyd was an awesome ump and ref. Later as a varsity player for his school, we were able to see Lloyd again. It was a great surprise for many of the parents in the stands. We always appreciated the manner in which he called the games. He was a professional. He will be greatly missed by everyone.

We are saddened by the loss. Lloyd worked the Dixie 15U division World Series held in Independence, LA. Great group of guys that did a good job in umpiring the event. It was a real brotherhood among them!
