Lois Marie LeBoeuf Jourdan obituary

Lois Jourdan Obituary

Lois was born to Isabelle and Louis LeBoeuf in New Orleans on August 4, 1935. She went to our heavenly father on March 21, 2014. She lived in New Orleans, Metairie and Mandeville her entire life. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, March 24 at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church in Mandeville. She married the love of her life, Will Jourdan on June 12, 1954. Our beloved Granny was a devout and faithful follower of Christ. She handled all of life's ups and downs with a fervent belief that God is always in control. She is celebrating in heaven with her parents and her infant daughter, Joanne Marie. She is survived by her forever boyfriend, Will, and children Karen Jourdan Ranker (spouse Dick), Will Jourdan II (spouse Colleen), Kim Jourdan, Eric Jourdan and Bruce Jourdan. Also surviving her are her dear sisters, Patricia LeBoeuf Huggins and Mary LeBoeuf (spouse Fred Woessner). Her grandchildren were a source of endless delight. These include Denise McGovern (Casey), Stephanie Carefoot (Todd), Matthew Ranker (Jennifer), Kristen Skistimas (Craig), Caitlin Jourdan, Ann Marie Jourdan, and Louis Jourdan. She was great Granny to Eamonn and Colin McGovern, Emma Carefoot and Mackenzie Skistimas who shares her Granny's precious brown eyes. In keeping with Lois' wishes, donations are preferred to Ozanam Inn (ozanaminn.org) or St. Andrews Village (saintandrewsvillage.org). An on-line guest book is available at www.harrymckneely.com.

Dear Will and Family,
May God bless you and yours as you mourn the loss of Lois. We saw her from time to time during visits with Nina or Dickey. We so admired her for many reasons, most notably her closeness to the Lord and her courage and love for her family. You will remain in our prayers.

I talked with Mr.Jourdan tonight at my restaurant, and was sorry to hear of Mrs. Jourdans passing. Enjoyed talking with Mr. Jourdan and his wife on their many lunch dates through the years at Petunia's Place. A few years back we discovered that we shared the same last name(LeBoeuf)and that connection was interesting ,but not sure if we are really related. Prayers to all the family,Darin&Dawn LeBoeuf.

I've had the sheer pleasure of having my Aunt Lois in my life and spending sweet endless summers at her and my wonderful Uncle Wills home .. I am so BLESSED to have her as a role model in my life .. She is a person with many wonders. Patience being the greatest .. She was a person filled with so much love and whom did truly so much for so many others .. How she loved children and their magical laughter being a wonderful friend, Aunt, mother and person to whom ever knew her .. Aunt Lois and her beautiful smile and wonderful laughter will be forever missed until we shall meet again ..As for me she will be forever in my heart .. Uncle Will you have gained another Angel to look over and protect you .. Please know you'll are all in my thoughts and my prayers .. Love you ..Gae Lynne

My heart is breaking, I just can't believe that she is gone, I never thought that I could ever love another woman as much as my own mom, but she took the prize, I looked up to her and respected her so much. She was such a special, kind, and loving person and I will miss her so much. Heaven is very lucky to get such a special new Angel. I love you mom number 2. :O(
