I only met Loretta once, but I taught her son Roddrick several times. He was always an A student in subject matters, but also in character. I'm sure that his life reflects his mother's sterling upbringing. Scripture tells us that a tree is known by the fruit it bears. Loretta's children tells us that she was a strong fruitful tree with solid roots that will extend long after she left us.
My wife and I extend our deepest sympathies to all of her family members.

Thank you for your giving spirit and creativity. Year ago, Momma Jeannie Adams took me to your store for us to meet during one of my early visits to New Orleans, I had to meet the Lady of the fantastic pralines. Each year thereafter, Momma J recognized my birthday, and mailed me assorted boxes of pralines. The family was overjoyed and anxiously awaiting each time to share in these delectable confections. You will be missed by so many, who have appreciated the love that you richly gave to others in and out of the kitchen. Blessings and strength to your family and loved ones. May they be comforted through a lifetime of beautiful memories of you. Rest in peace!

We just heard the news of Loretta's passing today and were very saddened by it. Three generations of our family here in San Antonio and Austin always enjoyed stopping at Loretta's for breakfast and visiting her and her family when we were visiting NO. Her hospitality was boundless. Loretta's place was always our last stop, to stock up before returning to Texas. May she rest in peace and her family find peace also.

Praying for Ms. Loretta's family and friends in her passing! Her pralines are the best! I was just telling folks standing in line a few weeks ago that her pralines are the best commercial praline on the market! When gifting them, Ms. Loretta's was always my choice! Truly a gift and a blessing! Always!

Loretta was amazing. She gave me a gift at one of the lowest points in my life. Her Christianity was not just with words, but with action.
Her gift encouraged me to go on.
