Loretta Melancon Obituary

Loretta Ann Melancon of Paulina, LA. died on Saturday, December 25, at 1:50 a.m. at the residence of her niece in Reserve, La. She is survived by her brother, Daniel Melancon, her sister, Rita M. Roussel, two sisters-in-law, Edna Melancon and Gertrude Melancon and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elphege Melancon and Odile Poche Melancon, sister Beulah M. Laiche, brothers Edward, Elphege, Mark and Alvin Melancon. Miss Melancon was 87 years old. She was a member of the Society of St. Ann and a former employee of Colonial Sugars in Gramercy. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Paulina on Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at 10:30 A.M. Visitation will be at St. Joseph's Catholic Church from 8:30 a.m. until funeral services. Entombment in St. Joseph Catholic Mausoleum. Alexander Funeral Home of Lutcher is in charge of the arrangements.
