To the Creighton Family,

I met Aunt Lorraine as Lenny and Tracey’s grandmother but soon she became Aunt Lorraine to me. I remember while attending UNO and in between classes I would pick up Chinese food and bring it over to Aunt Lorraine’s house. Upon her opening the door I remember her cats coming up to me purring (they were the neighborhood cats but she treated them like her own given each one a name). When Aunt Lorraine opened the door I was greeted with “hey baby” or “yeah baby the stories are good today.” She was always ready to catch me up on the stories while predicting the next scene… I soon realized that Aunt Lorraine was not like other grandmother’s and I, at the time a young student, loved to spend my breaks visiting with her. As I reminisce, I express tears of sadness and joy. I was blessed to have known her and to be welcomed by her. She had touched my life in so many ways and I’m thankful I was given the opportunity to visit with her again during the Thanksgiving holiday. My heart is sadden to know I will never hear “yeah baby” again but I know she is in a better more peaceful place watching over those she loved, her family.

Aunt Lorraine will definitely be missed.

With Deepest Sympathy,
