Louis Ignatious Cyrus, Sr. on Saturday, December 13, 2003 at 10:05 a.m. Beloved husband of Marguerite DeGeorge Cyrus. Son of the late George Cyrus and Regina Leconte Cyrus. Brother of Ruth Cyrus Duvic, the late May Cyrus Duzac, George, Charles, Alfred and Frederick Cyrus. Father of Louis I. Cyrus, Jr., Lynn Cyrus Babin, Linda Cyrus Cefalu and Margaret Cyrus Tauzier. Father-in-law of Patricia Zammit Cyrus, Johnny Cefalu, Sr., Wayne Babin, Sr. and Leon Tauzier, Jr. Grandfather of Stacey Cyrus Guerin, Jennifer Cyrus, Johnny Jr. and Jason Cafalu, Wayne Jr. and Jeffrey Babin. Great-grandfather of Abby Guerin. Age 82 years. A native and lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park and Mausoleum. Visitation on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
