On December 7, 2022, Louis Michael Ford, Sr. chapter in life concluded. God called Bro. Mike from labor to reward. He was married to the late Hattie Butler-Ford for 22 years. He retired from Shell Chemical Oil where he worked as a foreman for 23 years. Bro. Mike was preceded in death by his wife; Hattie Butler-Ford; parents; Peter James Ford Sr., and Rebecca Winder-Ford; stepmother; Lydia Ford of Zachary, LA; five brothers; Peter James Ford, Jr. Samuel Ford, Amos Ford, Louis Bell and John Bennett Bell; three sisters; Pauline Hankins, Lue Birdie Ford-Williams, and Sarahphine Bell-Rayford; one God-daughter NeKendra Henry. Bro. Mike was one who truly loved his family he leaves to cherish in his loving memories; Seven sons; Louis Ford, Jr., Alonzo (Evangeline) Ford of Baton Rouge, LA, Jeffery Ford, Samuel Meyer, Davell Ford, Donald (Cynthia) Butler and Tyrone Butler of Los Angeles, CA: three daughters; Darlene (Bobby) Davis of St. Francisville, LA, Kenyatta (Herbert) Theodore and Danira Ford: two brothers; William O. (Hattie) Ford of Baker, LA and Melvin E. (Brenda) Bell of Baton Rouge, LA: three sisters; Sharan Liletha (M.L.) Ford-Tobias of Baton Rouge, LA, Eloise Bell Wheeler of Milwaukee, WI, Floretta (William) Bell Cobb of Baker, LA: twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren; God-daughter Imani White, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends. Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, December 17, 2022, for 11:00 a.m. at the Thomas United Methodist Church, 420 Webster Street, Kenner, LA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Reverend Kaseem Short, officiating. Interment at Love and Charity Cemetery. Due to Covid-19, it is optional to wear a face mask.
