Louis T. "Lou Lou" Meyer Sr.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, September 7, 2018 in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Mr. Louis T. "Lou Lou" Meyer, Sr., 80, who passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018. Fr. Kyle White will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Louis, a resident of Broussard, was the son of the late Joseph Meyer and the former Mary Schreufens. He enjoyed gardening and tending to his yard and property. Mr. Louis also enjoyed traveling and spending time with his wife and family. He is survived by his wife, Vena Jean Meyer; children, Louis "Ted" Meyer Jr. and wife Angelique, Rachael Meyer and fiancé Erik Tobias; grandchildren, Sebastien, Elias, Samuel, Eden, Hannah, and Eva Meyer, Rebecca Bachelor, and Bailey Benoit Sr..; great grandchildren, Kaci Bachelor, Camryn Bachelor, Holden Tanner, Bailey Benoit Jr., and Spencer Tobias; brothers, Steve Meyer and wife, Sharon, Michael Meyer, Thomas "Tommy" Meyer; sisters, Johanna "Jo Jo" Cormier, and Jane Coble and husband, Clyde "Toe Toe"; and sister-in-law, Bobbie Jean Meyer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Mathew and Mary Katherine Meyer; brothers, Arnold "Poppa" Meyer and wife, Geneva, Charles Meyer and wife, Agnes, John Allen Meyer, Matthew Meyer, Clyde Meyer and Edwin "Willie Boy" Meyer. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Friday, September 7, 2018 from 9:00AM until the time of service. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
