Louis Simon Monroe

MONROE Mr. Louis Simon Monroe departed this life Friday March 31, 2006 in Columbus, Ohio at sunset. He was born October 8, 1932 in Hazlehurst, Ms. Louis joined the United States Marine Corps and served a four year tour of duty. Louis was a Barber for over 50 years; his business was located at 1303 Lyons St. Louis was preceded in death by his loving wife, Doris Howard Monroe. Louis is survived by his daughter, Lorna K. Monroe of New Orleans, LA., loving sister & caregiver Doris M. Warren of New Orleans LA./ Columbus, OH., (4) brothers, Effort (Doris), Walter (Deanna), Alvin (Jackie) all of Columbus, OH., Robert of Hazlehurst, Ms. and the late Jessie Frank Monroe. sister-in-law, Eula Howard and Willie Mae Monroe, brother-in-law Herman Howard, both of New Orleans, LA., and a host of nieces, nephews & cousins & special friends. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2006 at Carver Desire Baptist Church, 3301 Montegut Street New Orleans, LA. At 12:00 Noon. Visitation will be from 11:00-12:00.
