I am truly sorry that I was not able to attend the memorial service for Louis because of a LTBA meeting on the other side of the state. I would have like to shared what I had learned about him and have the opportunity to learn even more from all the others that were present. I knew Louis was just a good person, had a passion for horses and the business we all share... He was a hard worker and dedicated to the horse industry. He attended to our business incredibly well. I remember tellling him early on that I was not a big fan of insurance companies and all the legal mumbo-jumbo that each of the contracts with numbers of pages. I just wanted him to take care of things, and do the right thing for myself and my clients. He did that and more. He was a good friend, the kind you sort of take for granted and feel guilty when they've passed. Louis knew horses and had plenty connections nation wide. Friends of his and he could help evaluate and reel in stallion prospects. He was always there when needed, as close as your mobile phone and never blinked when he got those crappy calls at 3 a.m,. Certainly, we can all be replaced, but I gotta tell ya, he's a tough act to follow.
