Manfredo Enrique Giaccio, left us on June 27, 2016 after receiving catholic communion. Born in La Plata Province de Buenos Aires, Argentina on November 24th, 1926. He received his degree of Licenciado en Quimica from Universidad de La Plata, Argentina in 1952. He moved to New Orleans in 1956 and was a graduate with a MS Chemist at Tulane University. In 1968 he started working at Eastman Kodak as a research chemist at Rochester, New York and later returned to New Orleans to be a part of Kalvar Corp. His last work was with the D.E.Q. at Baton Rouge, Louisiana since 1990 to the present. He loved his work and Louisiana. He is survived by his wife Irene Causit Giaccio of 61 years who loves him dearly for his loyalty, his living to improve the future for the next generations and he was a believer of clean air. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Ln., Baton Rouge, Louisiana at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 14, 2016. The burial services will be private. To the Giaccio Family. I just heard of Mr. Manfredo's passing. I am sorry for your loss and wish I had known about the services so I could pay my respects to him. I will say a prayer in his and the family's honor. Peace be with you. He was a gentle soul and good man. He was very nice to me and always polite. He is missed. God Bless.
