Officer Marcus Anthony McNeil departed this life on Friday, October 13, 2017, at the age of 29. Husband of Brittiny Hubbard McNeil. Father of Maisie Ann and Camille Louise McNeil. Son of Dr. Kimberly C. McNeil. Brother of Imani and Marchann Alston, Brandon James, Tyran Snowton, Tyereaun Henry, Tara and Tyrinika Penny. Grandson of Alvena Brock McNeil and the late Bobby McNeil. Nephew of Avis Brock, Alorea and Joseph Gilyot, Kelly and Ernest Legier. Son-in-law of Verdall Hubbard and the late Harriet Hubbard. Brother-in-law of Michelle Hubbard. Great-nephew of Annie Crawford and the late Braulio Brock Jr. and Terry McNeil. Great-great-nephew of Elray Jones, Sr. He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers and members of Word of Life Christian Teaching Ministries and Household of Faith, also the New Orleans Police Department, New Orleans Parish Sheriff Department, Louisiana State Police, Fraternal Order of Police, employees of First NBC Bank, Children's Defense Fund, Freedom School, Alumni and Staff of Dillard University (Class of 2010) and St. Augustine High School (Class of 2006 MAX School) are invited to attend his home going service at Household of Faith Church, 9300 I -10 Service Rd., NOLA 70127, Officiating Minister Pastor Alex Bellow, on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at D. W. Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel, 3933 Washington Avenue, on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, New Orleans, LA.
