Margaret Ann Balzli

Margaret Ann Balzli passed away at her home in Metairie, Louisiana, on Monday, May 15, 2017. She was born on April 9, 1950, to Joseph Thomas Balzli and Mary Margaret Chatham Balzli in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Ann attended St. Francis Xavier Catholic School graduating in 1968. She attended Mississippi State University and Delta State University. She was a flight attendant for Delta Airlines and was based in Chicago, Illinois, and later in New Orleans, Louisiana. Ann later worked in a law firm and as a patient care representative in a New Orleans hospital. She is survived by her mother, Margaret Chatham Balzli Rula of Meridian, MS; her brother, Dr. Joseph Thomas Balzli, Jr. and his wife, Marsha, of Marion, MS; nephew, Dr. Blake Balzli (Miriam) of Starkville, MS; nieces Laura B. Little ( Dr. Reggie) of Starkville, MS and Sarah B. Joly ( Chris) of Nashville, TN; 4 great-nephews and 5 great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Thomas Balzli, Sr. Graveside services will be held in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Vicksburg, MS under the direction of Riles Funeral Home on Friday, May 19, 2017, at 2:00 PM with Father Tom Lalor of St. Paul's Catholic Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Joseph T. Balzli Athletic Trust, c/o Vicksburg Catholic School, 1200 Hayes Street, Vicksburg, MS 39183
