Margaret Norlen Obituary
Margaret Louise Norlen, 89, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard (Dick), who passed in 2015. Margaret was born in Long Beach, Ca. on August 2, 1927 to Charles and Ruby Dale. Her family, including older brother Robert (Bob), moved to the San Bernardino, Ca. area where she spent the remainder of her childhood years. She graduated from Colton High School and earned a teaching degree at University of Redlands. She and Dick were married on July 10, 1955 and had three sons, David, Paul and Douglas. They resided for many years in Rialto, Ca.
Margaret was a primary grade teacher at Bemis Elementary in Rialto for over 20 years. She and Dick retired in 1988 and moved to Boise, where they spent many happy years with beloved family members and friends, their hobbies, and volunteer activities.
Her family includes sons David (Tracy), Paul, Douglas; aunt Irene Reynolds; sisters-in-law Betty Dale, Margo Simons; nephews Alan McGuire-Dale, Gary Dale (Leatrice), Andy Dale (Diana), Clay (Bud) Simons; nieces Teresa Price (Cliff), Sue Wilson (Kurt), Pam Rose; and many great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Center at the Park (Meridian Senior Center), Meridian. Private interment will be held later at Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.

Mrs. Norlen, my first grade teacher at Bemis elementary in Rialto, Ca. I was very young but, I remember Mrs. Norlen, she will always be special to me. Rest in peace.

Mrs. Norlen was my first grade teacher at Bemis Elementary School in Rialto. As soon as I saw her picture, I recognized her. I am 50 years old now and that shows just how much teachers influence our lives. Rest in peace Mrs. Norlen, and thank you everything you taught me.
