Mark Dennis Nolting

1946 - 2023

Mr. Mark Dennis Nolting passed from this life on September 3rd, 2023, at UMMC in Jackson, MS, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in New Orleans on February 22nd, 1946 to Charles Nolting and Rosemary Ann Nolting. He was a graduate of Holy Cross High school and a proud alumnus of Tulane University, (B.S. Chemical Engineering). He later received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence at Loyola University New Orleans. He spent the remainder of his career representing the underprivileged as a public defender for the State of Louisiana, Jefferson Parish. He is survived by his loving wife, Millie Nolting; sister Debra Alfonso (Lester), Brother Eric Nolting (Diane), his first wife, Evelyn Nolting and children, son Marcus Marino, daughter Wendy Nolting, daughter Robyn Nolting, daughter Joy Houston (Reed), daughter Kimberly Raynes (Bobby), son Kevin Raynes (Laura) and his grandchildren Savannah Le'anne, Luna Root, Elisabeth Edwards (Paul), Ava Marino, Olivia Marino, Isabella Marino, Zane Stovall , Eden Marino, Jude Moree, and Abigail Raynes. Visitation will be held at 10am this Saturday, September 9th at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in Chalmette, LA followed by Mass at 11:00 am. All friends and family are welcome.
