Mark Stephen Taylor

Mark Stephen Taylor passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at the age of 61. He was born in Covington, LA on July 28, 1960 to Herbert Edward Taylor and Aline King Taylor. Mark is survived by his wife, Angela Ingalls Taylor; daughters, Rachel Aline Taylor, Amanda Bergeon Akins (Drew), Rebecca Taylor Gravois (Ronnie) and Madisyn Brooke Taylor; and siblings, Lola Taylor Beckham (Philip) and Charles Edward Taylor (Henry). Mark is preceded in death by his parents. Mark graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government. He then received his Master's of Public Administration at Louisiana State University. He also received his J.D. from the Loyola School of Law in 1988. Mark was extremely proud of this accomplishment and the work he did as an attorney for 25 years. Mark was very passionate about his current position as the Managing Director-Head of Claims at Fidelis Claims. Mark enjoyed hunting, cooking, fishing and golfing. But his #1 interest was spending time with his family. To everyone he met, Mark made them feel like he was their best friend. Mark's perfect day would be boiling crawfish with his special recipe, and drinking a Miller Lite with his family and friends. His smiling eyes could light up a room. Mark knew no stranger. Mark's love for his family was unmatched. Mark adored his wife, Angie. If you knew him well, you knew his favorite saying was 'That's my wife right there'. Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Service at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433 on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Private burial will follow the service.
