Uncle Freddie, Freddie, Kristen, & Christopher:
I can't fathom what you all are going through. There aren't really any words that can cure the grief we have. All we can do is have faith and believe that God will guide us and carry us. "Blessed be the God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." 2 Corinthians 1:3,4

Aunt Marlene,
Where to start! The sadness is overwhelming. I cannot fathom of never seeing you again. It's like a horrible dream that never ends. When I found out you were gone it was like loosing Daddy all over again. Another splinter in my heart, the hurt knows no end. Aunt Marlene, I know you and Daddy are up there together and that you will take care of each other. I will truly miss my Godmother. Love you always and forever, Amy
Uncle Freddie, Freddie, Christopher, & Kristen,
There are never words adequate enough to express one's sorrow and grief over loosing someone who meant the world to them. When Daddy died no one could say anything that would make me feel better. My hope for you is that each day the pain will ease a little more and when you think of Aunt Marlene it will be to remember something she said or did that made you happy, and made everyone else around her happy too.
You all are in my constant thoughts and prayers. Love, Amy

My very deepest sympathies to Marlene's entire family. I did a lot of temp work over a three yr. period through Liz Shaffete at the previous law firm. Marlene and I traded stories of our grandchildren/children and had many great laughs together. We also talked a great deal about our faith in God and how much it meant to each of us. Marlene brought me a momento of her wonderful trip to Italy and I treasure it to this day. May our Lord bless all of you and keep you in his love. You will be in my daily prayers.

Our prayers and condolences are with you all. We only met Marlene a few times, but if a mother’s children bear witness to the woman she was, Marlene was a jewel indeed. We’ve had the pleasure of living next door to Fred III for several years. He has been both neighbor and friend through all the time we’ve known him, and during brief encounters with Christen and Kris, we saw their high caliber as well.
As half of the beautiful equation that formed them, Marlene shines on in the people they are, and in the people they will become, and certainly in those they bear and foster. As daughter, sister, wife and mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, she shines into the future, through your celebration of her life, and through your love, which carries her, forever in heart and mind.
