Marsha Wilson Obituary

Marsha Elaine Wilson, age 63, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 12, 2017 after a long, valiant battle with cancer. Marsha is survived by her children, Brad & Amy Conway of Fairhope, AL and their children Josie and Jacob; Jamie & Shane Perrilloux of Madisonville, LA and their children Bailey and Andrew; and Chris Conway of Mandeville, LA and his children Kaitlyn, Christi, and Braedon; as well as her sister, Vicki Wilson Hunt of Prattville, AL; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Lonnie Joe Wilson & Alice Noe Wilson, as well as her brother, Greg Wilson; and her sister, Valerie Bradley Gore. Marsha was born on March 5, 1954 in Birmingham, AL. She graduated from Shades Valley High School in 1972. After a brief stint in nursing school, Marsha married and devoted her time to raising her 3 children. Marsha's greatest joys in life were her children and grandchildren, as well as her little dog, Marcel. She will be deeply loved and missed by all of her family and friends. They will always remember her as a sweet and loving person who remained brave and optimistic, even throughout her final months. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Marsha on June 10th at Mountain Chapel UMC, 2541 Rocky Ridge Road in Birmingham, AL. Visitation will be from 10-11 am with Celebration of Life Services to follow.  Another Celebration of Life Service is scheduled on June 17th at Abita Roasting Co., 504 Water Street in Madisonville, LA from 10 am-12 pm.  All are welcome to attend. The family would like to thank Woman's Hospital of Baton Rouge for her excellent care during her cancer treatment. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Marsha Wilson's name to Woman's Hospital of Baton Rouge, St. Joseph Hospice, or The Carpenter House of Baton Rouge.
