I am so sorry to hear this and send love to Marta´s family. I was Marta´s good friend in Sarah Lawrence and the years after when she became the Doctor she had dreamed of being. The last time I saw Marta she came to see me with her baby Sam! I looked Marta up today because I thought of her and found this sad news. Niki

People come along in our lives who we don´t necessarily expect to change us for the better yet as we come to know them, we realize that the qualities we most admire in them are some of the same qualities we lack, or want more of, in our own life. Marta was one of those people. Her gentle nature, kind heartedness, soft-spoken manner yet steel magnolia core, her intelligence tempered by humility, and her genius for goodness inspired me. My life is better for having known her. My condolences to her daughter and son, and all family members. Peace to you, Marta.

Googleing old classmates I found this page. My deep condolences to her family. Marta and I were classmates at P.S.75 along with Nina, Wendy, Rebecca, and a few others. She started "Errr Snaggg!!" :) I'll always remember her fondly as my childhood friend.

I, a fellow Bronx Science alum, and a fellow resident of Pleasanton, did not know Dr. Skulina. She certainly sounds like a wonderful and well-loved person, and I wish I had had the opportunity to have known her. I offer my sincere condolences to her family. May she rest in peace and may her memory be a blessing.
