Mary Adele "Delly" Borne

1952 - 2022

Mary Adele "Delly" Blouin Borne of Mandeville, Louisiana passed away on May 8, 2022 at the age of 69. Delly is survived by her loving partner of over 2 decades, Chuck Monlezun; daughter Claire Borne; daughter, Amy Campo and her husband, Clinton; her six granddaughters, Mia, Madelyn, Courtney, Molly, Caroline, and Carly; her sister, Michelle Authement and her husband, John; her brother, Mark Blouin and his wife, Diana; her brother, J. Michael Blouin Sr. and his wife, Joan; her former husband, Jules Borne Jr., as well as numerous other family and friends. Delly is preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Olive Blouin; and her son-in-law, Mathew Evans. Delly was born on August 4, 1952 in Raceland Louisiana. She Graduated from Vandebilt Catholic High School in 1970 and went on to study childhood education at Nicholls State University. After graduating in 1973, she started her 40 plus years career in the education field teaching High School Math. Delly received her Masters Degree from Southeastern Louisiana University and went on to be Nationally Board Certified in Mathematics. In 2015, Delly retired from teaching and spent her time reading, gardening, playing bridge, doting on her granddaughters and spending time with family and friends. On Saturday May 21, 2022 a vigil for Delly will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Funeral Mass services to follow at 12:00 noon at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 1501 West Causeway Approach, Mandeville, Louisiana 70471. Private burial will be at a later date. Thanks to the dedicated doctors, nurses, staff and home health program with Ochsner Medical and St Tammany Parish Cancer Center as well as Hearts Hospice for taking such amazing care of Delly from the moment she was diagnosed.
