Mary Starliper Mahner

Mary Starliper Mahner passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the age of 100 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years John E. Mahner and her daughter Susan Mary Mahner. A native of New Orleans and a long time resident of Metairie, she was proud and excited to reach the century mark and had a wonderful time celebrating the milestone birthday in September at a gala party surrounded by family and friends. She is survived by her children Carol Mahner Kreider (George), John E. Mahner Jr. (Cynthia), Robert F. Mahner (Charlene) and David Mahner (Charleen). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation Services at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, La. 70124 on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 9:00 AM with a Memorial Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM.
