Mary Faler Meazell

1933 - 2017

Mary Virginia Faler Meazell, born in Bassfield, MS, on October 24, 1933, went home to be with the Lord on March 30, 2017 at the age of 83. Virginia worked most of her life as an accountant, but in recent years she was a receptionist for her church, a case-worker for CASA, a caregiver for Home Instead Senior Care, and she also volunteered at St Joseph's Hospice. She was a hard worker, an exceptional mother, and the best Granny in the world. Virginia always had a smile on her face, she looked for the good in every situation and she was a devote Christian. Her infectious giggle will never be forgotten by the people who knew her, but she will most be remembered for her kind and giving soul and her unwavering faith in God. Virginia was a true blessing in the lives of many. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Don Meazell Sr. Her parents, Charles Betro Faler and Mary Catherine Hanegan; three sisters, Marie Faler Peterson, Denise Faler Windolph, and Elizabeth Faler Cocran, and a brother Timothy Laverne Faler. Virginia is survived by her son Arthur Don Meazell Jr. (Paula), her daughter Cindy Meazell Ciruti (Joe) and a brother Charles Faler (Kathy). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will receive guest for a memorial celebration of Virginia's life on Saturday April 22nd at 10am at New Jersulem Praise and Worship Center, 62340 Hwy 1090 (Military Rd), Pearl River, La 70452.
