To the family - I would like to thank you all for sharing your father, grand-father, etc. with me. He showed me the love of a father for his children and wife--he did not just say he loved you he showed it in so many ways.
It was rewarding to have been under his spiritual leadership. I think god for the wisdom he gave to him. And I thank him for not being selfish with his knowledge that he wanted to share it with everyone. With the guidance that he had given us his Second Zion church family should be equipped to do
God's work in any church.
There will never be another like Rev. McGary and Second Zion will never be the same.
My prayers are with the family that you will continue to do the Lord's work and bless others on your christian work.
Much love,

To God be the glory, I Lift up the Mc Gary family in prayer. For their many memories of Rev. to hold on. I remember him saying, keep on your full armour of God and stand for his word, never be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Rev. was a teacher, preacher and a true soldier in this battle for the Lord. And he pushed for his youth to do the same by witnessing. He would always say this scripture Matthew 28; 19 and 20. Go ye therefore and teach all nations baptising them in the name of the father and of the son and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you and lo I am with you always even unto the end of the world. He said, as long as you follow this command you will be Blessed. I appreciate Rev. And the Mc Gary family for the spiritual knowledge.

As you mourn and celebrate the earthly life of Pastor McGary rest in the comfort of knowing he is with God. His legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched with his Biblical sound teaching and preaching, and other kingdom building works which will always resonate in my life. He was an accomplished Servant of God who maintained a humble down to earth personality and attitude.

I am thankful to God I had the opportunity to visit with Pastor McGary last July at SZBC#1. He shared one of those "soul-searching" prayers that Sunday. He looked great, and was as alert and humorous as ever. Throughout the years, whenever I spoke with him via phone, he was quick to recognize my voice, and began his usual “line of questions."

As Pastor McGary would state in concluding many messages for one of the departed saints of God "Sleep on and take your rest. We'll miss you, but we'll see you in the bye-n-bye."

I just want to say how very sorry I am for the loss of your father. I know that this is a sad and difficult time for you. At times like this God gives us strength to accept his will.

We can take comfort knowing that Reverend McGary has gone to his eternal rest. He lived a faith-filled and upright life and he will surely be missed by all who knew him.

I ask that God bestow His wonderful blessings on you all.

May God ever stengthen you, family, in this devastating time in your life. You will never see Rev in a physical form again but he will forever be with all of you, all of us.

We remember the things that he has taught us, the fun times and how he raised so many of us in our religious and daily upbringing. He was there for so many of us---- a rock----a foundation for growth.

We will certainly miss him; however; we will never forget such a man of God--- a man for all men.

There is nothing that will heal the heart like prayer; so pray to God for the strength that will hold you up in this time of grief. Rev has prepared you for this time; so continue his life, his hope, his legacy knowing that the Holy Spirit is there to assist you whenever you call.

To the McGary and 2nd Zion B.C. family. My Pastor did everything in my christian walk, from holding me in his arms as an infant to bless me, baptized me, my first communion, married me, blessed my daughter as a baby and was there to give me advise anytime I needed it and when I did not want to hear it. They (Rev. & Sis. McGary) may not have birth me, but I feel like I'am their child. Thank God for my pastor. I LOVED my pastor. My Pastor, My Pastor. God give me strength.

There's an open gate at the end of the road through which each must go alone. There, in a light we cannot see,Our Father claims His own. Beyond the gate, Rev. finds happiness and rest and there is comfort in the thought that a loving God knows best. He has now found peace and rest.

May God, who calls our dear ones home and grants them peace and rest, give you the strength and faith to say that He indeed knows best. Having just gone through the lost of my daughter, Devona, you all are in my prayers,

"Great Teacher,Great Preacher,Great Man of God" Theme from the 1983 Pastor & Mrs McGary's 33rd Appreciation Day

To the McGary Family,

My heartfelt sympathy and prayers of comfort are with you. Pastor McGary is resting with Jesus. I am convinced he will be greatly rewarded for his ministry to God's people. Pastor McGary legacy lives on!

For me, the theme from the 1983 Pastor's Appreciation Day in which I was blessed to expound, summarizes Pastor McGary's character and legacy. I still have my speech and the program from that year. It was a memorable, spirit-filled celebration for a well-deserved Pastor and his Wife.

I am sorry I cannot be there to share in the celebration service of one of God's most faithful servants. Please know my heart is with you, and the SZBC#1 family.

" I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day..."

Rev. McGary often spoke of heaven in his sermons. I remember how excited and enthusiastic he would get when describing heaven and how it will be when we get there. Now, he is there resting with our Lord. No more tears and no more sorrow. The weight of this world will no longer be a heaviness on his shoulders, for he has ascended to his eternal resting place.

My family and I extend our sincerest condolences to the McGary Family in its entirety. We will truly, truly miss Rev., but he has left us such a great legacy and we will always hold tight to his memory.
