Mr. Picheloup was a lovely man. Just today, I was thinking about my years in New Orleans (1983-89) when I worked as an international trade specialist for the US Dept of Commerce and immediately thought of him. When I first moved to New Orleans, he enthusiastically welcomed me to the "Deep South" and told me he looked forward to working with me in his position on the District Export Council. I have fond memories of every interaction I had with him and feel very privileged to have known him.

Mr. Piche was very kind to me as a young person starting out at the (then) International Trade Mart (now World Trade Center New Orleans). He always had a tiwnkle in his eye. I also remember that he NEVER missed a LADEC or International Business Committee meeting unless he was traveling. It was a privilege to know this man.

Dear Claire, How sad it is to read of the passing of your wonderful Father, a Tulane legend, faithful and true. He'll be leading the Hullabaloo chants in heaven, I'm sure. My sympathies go out to you and your family. With love, Charlotte Travieso
