Melissa Knott Obituary

The world was left a little darker on the morning of May 31, 2016, when Melissa Temsook Knott passed away due to complications from a new pregnancy. She and her husband, Jeffrey, had only just recently found out they were expecting their first child. Melissa was an incredible daughter, sister, wife, and friend. She would have undoubtedly have added "amazing mother" to that list. Melissa believed that funerals were silly and a waste of time. Therefore, Jeffery will forever have part of her ashes and will spread the rest at some of her favorite places, since she never liked to be still for too long. Her loving family, Karen, Stephen, Jessica and Dale, and her wonderful friends, Katie and Meggie will be holding a remembrance in Baltimore, Maryland. Great friends in Pensacola, Florida will be holding fundraising and celebrations in her honor. Finally, Jeffrey and her marvelous friends in New Orleans are organizing a celebration befitting our sweet Melissa - funny, silly, irreverent, beautiful, brilliant and so passionate. Arrangements by Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd. Information 504-835-2341. Condolences may be expressed online at www.tharpsontheimerfh.com.
