Miss Mellie,
All the nice visits and recall of your family and childhood in Georgia when we shared and laughed at the pleasantries during our weekend visits together in your home. I remember our mutual love for country music and how you could sing every song, remembering every word, as we played CDs during lunch and dinner. Yes, some time you would stop eating to sing. After the meal we often sat at your desk and viewed pictures of your family as you would tell me each name of your 13 brothers and sisters, and that your name is Mellie Rebecca, Rebecca being your mother's name. More recently we shared for a while away from your home. I shall always remember your smile and how we could joke with each other, then laugh. You are very special to me.
My sincerest condolences to your children and grandchildren with prayer for their comfort and strength at this time of sorrow.
Farewell, my precious friend, as you leave "On The Wings of a Snow White Dove" to finally experience that "heaven is for real".
