Melva Bailey

Melva Bailey departed this life on Thursday, July 20, 2018 at St. Joseph's Carpenters House at the age of 83. She was a life long resident of Oakville, LA. Daughter of the late Eulice Jr. and Bertha Bailey. Devoted mother of Lois (Byron) St. Cyr and Pamela (Joseph) Jones. Grandmother of Byron Jr., Bryant and Kimberly St. Cyr; step-grandmother of Tayla and Tia Jones. Great grandmother of Jayla St. Cyr-Thompson and Paige Swain. Aunt of Tyrone (Deserae) Bailey and Tracey (Daphine) Bailey. Sister of Margaret Pierre, the late James, Eulice Jr. and Kenneth Bailey and sister-in-law Marva Ann Bailey. Deceased is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, Pastors and Officers of Greater St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church, Oakville Missionary Baptist Church, all neighboring churches and former employees of Metropolitan Developmental Center are invited to attend the Celebration of Life for Melva Bailey on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Greater St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church 182 W.
