Melva Banks Taylor, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA, at 9:15 a.m., Monday, March 19, 2007. Daughter of the late Matthew Banks and Melba Jones Banks. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Tina and Troy Jones, Danita and Merlin Morris and Lloyd Taylor, Jr. and companion, Sharell. Sister and sister-in-law of Betty Hayes, Laverne and Joseoh McKinley, Geraldine and Andrew Dunn, Melvin and Elouise Banks and Lloyd and Richard Banks. Devoted friend of Donald Ray James. Also survived by seven grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, other relatives and friends. Age 56. Visiting at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Convent, LA, Thursday, March 22, 2007 from 8:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Conducted by the Rev. Pat Mascarella and Decond Alfred Adams. Interment in St. Michael's Cemetery, Convent, LA. BRAZIER-WATSON FUNERAL HOME in charge of arrangements.
