Melvin Victor Obituary

Melvin Victor entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Ochsner Foundation Hospital. He was a retired fireman for the New Orleans Fireman Department. Melvin graduated from L.B. Landry High School and was an Army Veteran. Beloved husband of Bernadine Morant Victor. Devoted father of Saron Lamothe and Chad Victor. Son of the late Albert, Sr. and Evelyn M. Victor. Brother of Albert Victor, Jr., Minerva Simmons, Amy Celestan, Emily Sylva, Doretha Willis, and the late Bertrice Richard and Idarene Williams, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, other relatives. Age: 72 years a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Pleasant Bethany B.C., Mt. Sinai B.C., Beautiful Zion B.C., priest and parishioners of All Saints Catholic Church , St. Andrew Catholic Church, and neighboring churches; employees of New Orleans Fire Department, and AIG Claim Dept. are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St., Gretna, LA on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Louis Harrison, Jr. officiating of Austin, TX. Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. until service time at the above named parlor. Interment: Westlawn Cemetery-Gretna, LA.
