Rest In Peace Miss Melvina! Family....I have fond memories of your mother growing up in Desire. We were so happy as children and it was because we had a whole village of strong resourceful mothers just like Miss Melvina! When I heard of her passing I mentally went through my memory bank.....recalling every single apartment - - - and realized that Miss Melvina was the very last Mama from our era standing!
