Mercer Reynolds Obituary

REYNOLDS Mercer William Reynolds, age 71 years, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014. He was born in Galveston, Texas on August 12, 1942. He was preceded in death by his parents Mercer William Reynolds and Irene Skarke Reynolds, his sister Irene E. Reynolds and his niece Catherine V. Brim. He is survived by his sister Jane R.. Brim of Navarre, FL, his brother Stephen A Reynolds (Mary) of New Orleans, LA, his nephew Stephen M. Reynolds, Sr. (Kirksey) his great nephew Mercer Reynolds and his great niece Bridget Reynolds of Houston, TX. Mercer served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He was an avid fisherman and he retired to his camp in Montegut, LA. He will be sadly missed by his family members and many friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 775 Harrison Avenue, New Orleans, LA. 70124 on Monday, January 27, 2014 beginning at 11:00AM, with a Funeral Mass to follow at 12:30PM. Inurnment will be at All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Masses are preferred. Please visit and sign the family guestbook at www.lakelawnmetairie.com.

Reminiscences: Mickey was my best friend from when we met in 1960 until the late 1980s after we moved to Houston. We made a point of visiting with him on return vacation visits to New Orleans. He will always be one of our fondest memories. We send him our love.
