Merlyn Rantz Stuebben, on May 26, 2004. Wife of the late John F. Stuebben, Sr. Beloved mother of John F. Stuebben, Jr., Jane S. Kent, Gerald J. Stuebben, Michael J. Stuebben, Merlyn S. Mittelbronn, Mary Catherine S. Williams, Elisabeth S. Retz and the late Stephen A. Stuebben. Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. August J. Rantz. Sister of Gerald Rantz, August J. Rantz, Jr., and the late Jeanne R. Clements and Anne R. Wegmann. Also survived by 21 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Age 92 years. Mrs. Stuebben was a school teacher for 24 years at St. Anthony Padua Catholic School. The past president of the Knights of Columbus Womens Auxiliary and was the recipient of the Regina Matrum Award. A native and lifelong resident of New Orleans. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of Jacob Schoen and Son, 3827 Canal St., on Friday, May 28, 2004 at 11:30 AM. Interment in Cypress Grove Cemetery. Friends may visit after 9:00 AM Friday.
