Michael Louis Galiano passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023 at the age of 48. He was born on November 22, 1975 in New Orleans, LA to Barbara Lois Smith Galiano. Michael was the beloved husband of Brandi Rieger Galiano. He was the loving father of Anabella (17) and Amelia (12) Galiano. He was the son-in-law of Ronald and Margaret Rieger. He was the brother-in-law of Ashli and Nick Alphonso and uncle to Nicholas, Nathan, and Andrew. Michael was a graduate of Chalmette High Class of 1993. He continued his studies at Mississippi State University graduating with a Bachelor of Art in Communications and his Masters of Art in Communications at the University of New Orleans. He was a jack of all trades and willing to help anyone in need. He was a loyal friend to many. Mike loved his family to pieces and tried to impart his love of learning to all. He loved English and History and thought knowledge was a powerful tool to have in this world. There was not a time you could not find Mike giving a history lesson to his family and dramatically reenacting verses and phrases from his favorite books and movies. His oldest daughter Anabella shares in his love and passion for reading and dramatic flair. Mike shares his silly and stubborn nature with his youngest baby girl, Amelia. She will keep everyone on their toes. He will truly be missed and never forgotten by his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to the Funeral Mass at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington, LA 70433 on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 3:00 PM with visitation from 1:00 PM until service time.
