Linda,
Please accept my condolences and know that you and your family are in my prayers.

March 30, 2010

Please accept my sincere condolences at Mike's illness and passing. I was a business associate and golf friend to Mike in the years gone by, and I knew nothing of this until this morning as I live and work in Canada. The world is a lesser place today.

Dear Linda

Funny how after all these years it was just recently that we have reconnected. I am so sorry about Mike. I am so glad I had the honor of meeting him when ya'll got together in New Orleans. We sure had some fun times and some great memories that I have always held close to my heart. When things calm down somewhat, I will come to Houston and visit. I promise!

To Allison, James and Emily

I am so sorry for your loss. Although we have never met, I can honestly say I have been where you are, losing one of my parents when I was very young. No one can take the pain away. I can tell you that things do get a little better in time as you learn to live with the pain. I was told by my Rabbi, that's called Life. It didn't make since to me at the time either but I promise it does get a little easier in time. Hold your memories of your Dad close, for they will always be there. The lessons that he taught ya'll will now come into play more than ever. Be sure and take care of each other and your Mom to.

The family can be comforted by reflecting on a time when those asleep in death will be resurrected to life again. At that time no one will be sick or suffer from pain that later ends in death. Yes, these blessings and so many more will take place under God's Kingdom rule.

Dear Mrs. Harvard, Allison, James, and Emily,

When Brooke came home from Blinn, she was soo distraught to hear the news of James father. She's very close to James and cares so much for your family. We'll never forgot meeting you and Mr. Harvard when Brooke and James got together for prom. Mike was a wonderful hostess, enjoying the kids and parents taking photos, & making sure everyone was doing good. We enjoyed Mike's hospitality and warm friendship. We love James dearly....we know it's been tough for him and the entire family. Our hearts and prayers go out to you. God Bless you and your family.

Sincerely,
Dennis and Melissa Seberger

Linda:
I cannot find the words to express how sorry Kyle and I are to hear about Mike's passing.
I still remember the first quote I did for him at Valquip. I thought it was a waste of time and he ended up with the order! (No surprise there).
The happy memories of all our years working together and raising our young families keep coming to mind.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Allison, James, Emily as well as Tim, Julie and your entire families. I know he is already greatly missed. ---Kyle and JoAnn Baden

Linda and family,

I am a friend of Doug's. I recently lost my son and husband. I can feel your pain all too well. Doug really thought a lot of Mike and cared for him so much. I too am a member at Faithbridge and my son's funeral service was held there. They did an awsome service. What a wonderful church. Let your friends, family and the love of God help you and your children. It is not easy. I heart goes out to you all.

Mike was an important part of my Freeport growing up years...and was always there for me through the fun times (C&W dancing) and the tougher times. I greatly appreciated his constant friendship during these formative years. My prayers to you and your family for comfort during this intense time of loss. I know that Mike is now freed from the body of cancer and at peace.

Words aren't sufficient to express the sadness in hearing of the passing of a very dear friend and colleague. When Mikey first came to Rockwell International in New Orleans, he spent four weeks living with me and my family. What a joy it was having him as part of my family. He brought many new sayings into our lives, one being: "If you trip on the way to the dining table, don't bother getting up." Mikey ate everything. We had another saying, "give it to Mikey, he'll eat anything." And anything was his montra. When going out to lunch, Mikey would ask if anyone was going to finishing eating what was left on their plates. He had a bottomless pitt for a stomach, or hollow leg. He was always the picture of health, and smart as a whip. Mikey installed a ceiling fan in my den, which remained until Katrina in 2005. My heart overflows with emotions for his family. He will always be in my prayers.
