Michael Joseph "Byrd" Raia

Michael "Byrd" Joseph Raia went to heaven on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at the age of 63. Beloved husband of Maricel Raia. Loving father of Mia A. Raia. Step-father of Marilyn Amana. Son of the late Velma Volpi and Anthony Raia Sr. Brother of Anthony Raia Jr. (Pat), Jeffery Raia (Debbie), April Pavia (George), and Antoinette Raia (Raul). Also survived by nieces and nephews. He was a loving and devoted father to Mia, and an avid guitar player who loved Rock n' Roll. He was employed by Sergi A/C for 12 years and was a lifelong resident of Marrero, LA. Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of Sergi A/C are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 11am. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday morning from 9am until 11am. All those attending must wear face coverings.
