Michael Thomas Obituary

Michael Anthony Thomas passed away peacefully on May 31, 2022 surrounded by family and friends. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 2, 1959 to Alfred and Dorothy Castine Thomas, he was the first of two children. Michael attended Alcee Fortier High School, he graduated in 1978. After graduating high school, Michael enlisted in the United States Army in 1979. Michael is proceeded in death by his parents, grandparents and cousin, George "Gino" Gates the III. Michael is survived by his brother, Alfred Thomas Jr., his niece and affectionate daughter, Shantell Miller. Michael is also remembered by a host of family and friends. A funeral is planned for Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be Monday, June 13, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Slidell, LA.
