Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of Milford, my dear friend for over 50 years. I feel blessed to have had the privilege of our friendship. Milford was a caring person for his family and friends and always made an effort to stay in touch. We exchanged phone calls often. His calls would start off with "Joe, is this a good time?" And I would always come back with "it´s always a good time to hear from you". Also, I cherish our monthly Chrysler retiree group lunches we had for many years where we shared our experiences. Gradually, as the group got older, our monthly meetings became less often and with fewer attendees. The last one was on Feb 8, 2023 at Salvo´s Seafood Restaurant on Belle Chasse with only 3 of us in attendance.
I will always remember Milford and the good times we shared.

My brother asked for a sister for many years. In his ninth year, he received something quite special - ME! He was quickly commandeered as my babysitter & spent countless hours pulling me around the neighborhood in my little wagon. He then forever took care of his little sister.
The main thing about this amazing, honorable man was that at least one thing was simple for him. Right vs wrong: you without question do the right thing. I will share a story about the other most honorable man I ever knew. That person is our dad.
Milford told me many times an historical family story. My dad took my brother to town & then parked the car. In the parking meter was a nickel sitting in the slot to be pushed in to pay for parking. Daddy took the nickel out, put in his own nickel & put the original nickel back into the slot. Why did you do that, Daddy? Our dad being a man who also simply saw things with clarity replied to his young son " because it´s not ours". This is the man who taught us ethics & formed our formidable characters.
My brother & I always admired our dad more than any other man. Milford aspired to be like his dad. I regret never telling him that he had succeeded & was a carbon copy of this simple farmer who molded us. My brother knew that I loved him. We never spoke those words to each other; my brother was not the type. For us, actions mean more than words. We quietly loved each other because actions speak louder than words.
I miss my brother on this side, but I will join my brother & the simple farmer on the other side. Until then, my memories will honor both. Goodbye my dear brother - see you on the other side!

Milford was a good family man, he loved his family to the ends of the earth. He was very smart. He was a great brother-in-law. He will be greatly missed.

Daddy they sure don't make them like you anymore. I thank you (and Mama) for instilling in me good morals and values and a great work ethic.
I sure wish that we would have recorded you when telling our family history. The stories you would tell about your mom and dad about life in the country were priceless. I used to love to listen to you tell them.
Thank you for helping me become the person that I am today. The way you raised me helped me raise 3 beautiful children and they are in turn raising awesome children.
Lastly, I will never forget that if I have a question I need to "ask" a person, not "ax" them. My siblings will certainly understand this. I thank you all the time for correcting me. I hope that you are at peace now, we all love you very much.
Love from your daughter
