To the family of Miriam Thomas Page. I was sorry to read about her passing. I just recently found out that her sister, Emily had passed earlier. Emily and I were members of the Prep Class of 1955. I spent many a day with your Grandparents and uncles at their house near either Blessed Sacrament Church or Annunication, if I remember correctly the church was near the Prep and the Thomas' home.

I left New Orleans in 1966 to work for the Federal Government. The last time I saw Emily was at our Class' 50th reunion in New Orleans, right before Katrina hit home. God Bless Everyone and I will keep all in my prayers.

Kolin, Kevin and Zina, at times like this most of us don't know your loss. It's that bond between mother and child that only you had. Mrs. Page left behind a tremendous legacy, and grace that continues to shine on us all. I can hear her voice and see her smile even now. To this day, your mother made the only fruit cake I'd ever had a second and third piece of. It's memories like these that put back some of those missing pieces for many of us. You all knew her in ways the rest of us never could have. It's now your turn to share her with others who never had the privilege of knowing such a tremendous lady.

Mrs. Page was such a joy to be around. As a teenager, I would stop by the Pages' to see Kevin, Kolin and Zina. If they weren't home, I would sit and talk to Mrs. Page. We always had great conversations. She truly will be missed!
