Mossie Rea Brown "The Insurance Lady" Williams, age 92, born on May 17, 1931, in McKamie, Arkansas, entered eternity rest on Sunday, May 21, 2023. She graduated with honors from Columbia High School and attended Arkansas Baptist College for 2 years. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall-Jehovah Witness-Marrero, LA location. Mossie was a dedicated Insurance Agent and Manager of Gertrude Geddes Willis Insurance Company for 41 years. She completed Dale Carnegie Sales Course and received several Sales Agent of the Month/Year accommodations and awards. She also was an active member and secretary for the NAACP Westbank Branch for many years, contributing to many urban initiative programs regarding the Westbank community. Mossie was the beloved mother of Mossialand Alexander-Evans (Willie) and Shelia Taylor-Degree (Wilbert). Devoted grandmother of Erica Q. Davis, Milton Turner, Jr., Candace Taylor, Donna Zachary, Ricky Randall, Margaret R. Craddock, 11 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins living in Arkansas, Michigan, Gibsland areas, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Cleveland Williams; her parents A.D. Brown and Lucille Brown; and her children Caroland W. Randall and Donald Ray Queary.
