Nancy Stone Bonin

1961 - 2023

Nancy Stone Bonin, aged 61, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2023, after a long illness. She was born on August 13, 1961, in New Orleans and was the daughter of the late Thomas Stone, Jr. and Narcille Ducote Stone who preceded her in death. Nancy attended St. Joseph Academy and was a graduate of Abramson High School, Class of 1979 and married the love of her life, Mark Thomas Bonin, on November 5, 1993. Nancy was an avid gardener and member of the Madisonville Garden Club. She was passionate about cooking and if you experienced her cuisine, you know you were fortunate to enjoy one of her culinary creations. Nancy loved her pool sanctuary and enjoyed sharing it with family and friends. She was a devoted animal lover and cherished time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She is survived by two children, Joshua (Lashlee) Laviolette and Katie (Julian) Landry and three grandchildren, Josie and Evie Landry, and Savannah Laviolette, known to them as YaYa. Nancy was the youngest of three children and is survived by her sister Melanie (Michael) Otillio and brother Thomas (Joal) Stone and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. at Grace Funeral Home, 450 Holy Trinity Drive, Covington, LA 70433. The Celebration of Life will begin at 12:00 P.M. in the chapel of the funeral home.
