Grandma, it's always so hard to say goodbye but I thank the LORD for allowing you to be such a powerful motivational force in my life. When you passed away it took a great deal to cope with not only your loss but my father's as well. I am able to move forward as I realize that you are in HEAVEN with Grandpa Eugene and your parents and my dad is sitting along with you with his parents watching your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren live out their dreams.

I love you grandma and I will forever cherish those heart-felt moments that we shared together.

Love

Life without you

Everyday we wake up without you
Having to live the day without you
Trying to live a life without you
But in reality we are lost without you
We still thank the Almighty God for you
Because we wouldn’t have been without you
So we cry and smile as we think about you
You were the best loving mother and grandmother
You were a dream come true
So we try to walk in this world without you
We go on breathing without you
But life isn’t the same without you
We still wake up in pain because we are without you
So we pray each and everyday trying to make a way
We try to live our life for you
Enjoying life the way you would have wanted us too
But there aren’t days that go by that we don’t think of you
How could we not when we have so much love for you
Family is something you taught us to hold on to
So everyday that we gather we think God for you
Nannie Mae Proudy- Taylor you were an amazing dream come true!!!

Grandma, I still can't believe you're gone. I think about you everyday and how we would spend hours and hours under the carport talking every Sunday. I'm sadden that you were not here to meet my beautiful son, although I know you met him long before I did. I can't wait to see your smiling face again in heaven. I love and miss you sooo very much.

Mommy,
Thanksgiving day without you was very hard to bear. I know what the holidays meant to you. I remember last Thanksgiving when you took your first visit back to New Orleans following the hurricane, you said you loved Texas and that you would not be returning home to New Orleans to live. You stated your next return trip would be to bury you. Little did we know how true this would be. It has been 4 lonely months since you were laid to rest. Thanksgiving Day was all that you would have desired it to be, your children together, lots of good food, and precious memories of how it use to be with our darling mother! Sadly missed by your daughter Shirley...Rest in peace.

Taylor Family,

My family and I will continue to pray that your grief is healed and the memories of a wonderful mother and a gracious God will sustain you.

August 2, 2007

In the beginning, you were created by God to be good and you were up until the time God called you home. God etched a purpose into your being which was so strong, understanding and patient. You gave unconditional love to everyone who entered your life including me. I remember a conversation we shared, you told me “that you can’t fault who you love”. This statement has stuck with me. I’m going to truly miss playing Tripoley with you, when you would win all the money and then you will always go to bed. I know you will be one of God's Angels. You will be truly missed and I love you!

I have always found pleasure in seeing my grandmother seated at the kitchen table reading her bible. She was an advid reader and strong in her faith. Her deligence and commitment to establishing a strong family foundation has inspired and motivated me to do the same in my life. Despite the current situation, I know that she is resting peacefully and seated at the right hand of the father in heaven.

Maw-Maw!It troubles me to even have to phathom this day to come, but through all of your years of preaching and teaching me to listen and do what was right only prepared me for this somber time.If anything you shared that I now truly understand is that you must love yourself before you can think someone believes you love them. And till your demise you left knowing that I loved you because you saw me finally loving myself!!

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
