Nicholas John "Nickie" Gagliano Sr.

Nicholas "Nickie" John Gagliano, Sr., passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at the age of 64. Nickie was born in New Orleans, LA. He was a longtime resident of Lake Catherine and a current resident of Slidell, LA. Nickie was a member of the Louisiana Army National Guard where he achieved the rank of Master Sergeant and retired with 23 years of service. He was also a state employee with 13 years of service. He was the beloved husband of Kathy "Katie" Gagliano for 43 years, and the loving father of Nick Gagliano (Rachel), Shelly Langston (Bryan), and Wayne Gagliano. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Gagliano, Sr., and Genevieve Fontana Gagliano. He is the brother of Mathew Gagliano, Perry Gagliano, Linda Bennett, Janice Ancalade, and the late Lena Mae Rabalais, Phyllis Cancienne, Anthony Gagliano Jr., Vincent Gagliano, and Joseph Gagliano. He cherished his four grandchildren, Katelyn Gagliano, Alysen Langston, Annalise Gagliano, and Evan Gagliano. Nickie is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life memorial party in Nickie's honor on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 2 pm.
