SMITH Noel Francis Smith passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2006 in Slidell, LA. at the age of 73. Noel was a native of New Orleans, LA. and a resident of Chalmette, LA. for the past 40 years. Beloved husband of Anna May Treadway Smith. Father of Charlotte Holm, Nancy Diggs and Stephen Smith. Brother of the late Larry Smith. Son of the late Adele Lindstrom Smith and Thomas Smith. Grandfather of Annette, Kimberly, Kevin, Brad, Jennifer, Caleb and Aislinn. Great Grandfather of Justin, Christian and Amelia. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the funeral. Religious Services will be held in the Chapel of Bagnell & Son Funeral Home, 75212 Lee Rd. Covington, LA. on Monday, October 2, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. Interment in Eternal Rest Cemetery. Friends may call after 10:00A.M. Monday.

i have had the pleasure of knowing Noel. i even got to call him grandpa (even though i was not officially related). i loved him dearly and will miss him. i cherish the fact that i got to know him and that i have some very fond memories of him. every time i watch the news i will think of him!
