Noel William Weaver Sr.

Noel William Weaver Sr., affectionately known to many as "Grandpa", passed away peacefully on May 21, 2018 at the age of 94 years. Beloved husband of the late Anna Mae Laforest Weaver. Father of the late Noel W. Weaver Jr. Father-in-law of Loretta Weaver. Grandfather of Ricky Weaver, Angela Weaver Landry (Sam), Laura Weaver Matthew (Tim) and the late Paula Weaver. Great-grandfather of Tiffany Hebert (Ronnie), Brandon Weaver (Lauren), Sam Landry Jr., Taylor and Victoria Matthew, Laura Foret and Bryce Weaver. Great-great-grandfather of Landry and Nora Hebert and Sam Landry III. Brother of the late R.B. Weaver, Coy Weaver and his twin, Naomi DiMiceli. Son of the late Ella Maude Eslinger Weaver and Robert Andrew Weaver. Also survived by nieces and nephews, other loving relatives and friends. Noel served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard. He later became a barber with his shop in the Jung Hotel on Canal Street and moved to the Tidewater Building. Noel was known for his keen sense of humor and his ability to make anyone laugh. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Belle Vie Nursing Home and St. Joseph Hospice for their care and compassion during this difficult time. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 9am to 11am.
