Norman Patton Obituary

PATTON Norman Duwan Patton December 15, 1932 - December 3, 2007 Norman Patton, age 74, and a resident of Bogalusa, LA, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2007 at his residence. He was born on December 15, 1932 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He was a graduate of Purdue University. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and served as Radar 2nd Class in the Korean War. He was awarded and commissioned a Kentucky Colonel by the Common Wealth of Kentucky Governor in 1976. He retired from Convent Chemical in Convent, LA as an Electrical Engineer in 1997 after 37 years. He is survived by 1 daughter, Carrie (Mike) Bonds, Camden, TN; 1 son, Bruce (Wendy) Patton of Indianapolis, IN; 1 sister, Pat Meyers of Ft. Wayne, IN; 3 grandchildren: Brittany, Gena and Dara; and his companion, Dewayne Stewart of Bogalusa, LA. Preceded in deaeth by: his parents, Lester and Ethel Patton; and 1 brother, Richard Patton. Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. with a Memorial Service at 10:00 a.m. at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel, Bogalusa, LA on Friday, December 7, 2007 with the Rev. Ronald Wilson to officiate.
