Patsy Lee d'Aquin Daly

1936 - 2021

Mrs. Patsy Lee d'Aquin Daly, a devoted wife, loving mom, and retired cruise travel agent, passed away on March 5, 2021, surrounded by family. She was born on October 30, 1936 to Wilfred d'Aquin and Leotha Lawrence d'Aquin, and has been a lifelong resident of our city and state. She is survived by her three sons, J. Michael Daly, Jr. (Jennifer), David Scranton Daly (Lexi), and Scott Christopher Daly (Aundrea) and grandchildren, Mignon E. Daly, John Michael "Jack" Daly III, Conner S. Daly, Colleen E. Daly, Christian d'Aquin Daly, and Caroline G. Daly. She is also survived by her sister Diane d'Aquin Crawford (Frank) and nieces, Christen Crawford Landry and Jennifer Lee Crawford. She leaves behind many cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. John M. Daly, and her parents, Wilfred d'Aquin and Leotha Lawrence d'Aquin. Pat, as she was known to many, attended Louisiana State University, and then worked at Shell Oil Company before meeting and marrying her love, Jack Daly, and raising their three sons. She dedicated her life to her family, attending every function with a smile and much love. She reveled in her children, and never went a day without telling them and showing them how much she loved them. Whether cooking, volunteering at Country Day or just giving a shoulder to lean on, she was always there. She later excelled as a Cruise Agent, helping others and all the while supporting her family. Pat was a member of the Orleans Club and Daughters of the Revolution. Most of all, she loved her family and was always excited to share the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 12:00 noon at St. Francis Xavier Church, Metairie, LA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am at the church located at 444 Metairie Rd., Metairie, Louisiana, 70005. Interment will be private.
