IN LOVING MEMORY ON PAUL'S
6th ANNIVERSARY IN HEAVEN

This day is remembered and
quietly kept,
No words are needed
we will never forget.
For those we love
don't go away,
They walk beside us
every day.
Unseen and unheard
but so very near;
So loved, so missed
and so very dear.
Until we meet again,
Loved always and forever.

IN LOVING MEMORY ON YOUR 23rd BIRTHDAY

A day unforgotten by family and friends,
A love so pure it never ends.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we love you still,
In our hearts you hold a place
no one can ever fill.
We love you always and forever and pray
to meet you again in Heaven someday.

Sadly missed and forever loved by all.

Maddie, 2nd birthday, Paul and Caroline

April 11, 2010

I can't believe your sister Maddie had her 13th birthday on March 27th. You would be very proud of her; she is an amazing girl. She is going to go to Cabrini for 8th grade, and she is going to be in the play "Seussical" at St. Benilde this week. She loves you very much and thinks about you very often.
You were such a loving big brother. You were always there for her, even with all the brotherly teasing, but you could never let her cry.

Well, the Saints finally made it!!!In the Super Bowl!!!WHO DAT!!! Things are really crazy down here. Can you see all the excitement? We wish you were here to be part of all this craziness. I guess you would have been trying to go to Miami. Your PawPaw is there now, maybe he would have taken you.
This is a picture of your siblings, taken on the first playoff game. They are wearing their lucky Saints shirts, so they have to wear them again today. Madeline, who is not a big football fan, is so excited. She has a holiday from school tomorrow in honor of the Saints in the Super Bowl, win or lose.
We still love and miss you and think about you every single day.
Help us shout for the Saints
GO, SAINTS, WIN!!!
You always would lose your voice after going to a game. So do your best up there.

It's been 5 years that you
left us. You may be gone but
you will never be forgotten.

your spirit lives within us
forever in our hearts.

Loving and missing you

Paul and Reggie, 1994

December 25, 2009

Our dearest Paul,
Today is Christmas. We have such wonderful memories of our Christmases past, when you were physically present, not just present in spirit as you are now.
You brought us so much joy; there was never a dull moment with you around. It is just not the same. The last Christmas you were here, you were not really "here," as you were in the hospital in a coma. And it snowed! We were so disappointed that you could not see the snow, and thought, well, you'd see it another time. Hope there is snow in Heaven!
The picture is of you and Reggie. You were about 6 or 7. Reggie was Aunt D's dog, but you always said you were Reggie's daddy.

Our memories with you are our priceless
treasures!
We all will remember you forever and ever.
Wish we could send you lots of hugs and kisses.

Dearest Paul,
We remember you with love today on your 22nd birthday. You have many flowers and rememberances on your grave, and we released 22 balloons in your memory with loving messages to you. Hope you enjoyed them.
The picture I am showing is on your first birthday. Even then, as we noticed in your later pictures, that when you were having fun, you had that mouth open to show you were having a blast. We have such great memories which we cherish in our hearts. "As long as there is memory, you will live forever."

Paul and Jake, 2000

October 28, 2009

Yesterday, October 27th was Jake's 10th birthday. He had his birthday party in school, but not at home yet. He is usually asleep by 7pm. He has gotten so big. He is doing so well at school with Stephen looking out for him. They get along really well. Wish you could be here for him.
We love you always and forever.

Family on Caroline;s 2nd birthday, 2000

October 12, 2009

Saturday, October 10 was your sister,
Caroline's birthday. She was 11 years old. She wanted to have a princess birthday party and even had to wear a princess dress. We wish you could have been there to see her. She loves birthday parties. She has not forgotten you, as none of us has. She
always loved you SO much, and you loved
her, too. You could always make her happy even when she was having a temper
tantrum. We wish you could be here so your siblings could see what a GREAT big brother you are. You always cared so much for them.
You will be in our hearts forever.

My Dearest Paul,

Sunday was my birthday, and I certainly didn't forget you. I even brought my flowers from the table to where you are laid to rest. You were with us in spirit the whole day. I just didn't write something in your memory and share a picture. " Your memory is a treasure, with which we'll NEVER part." They will remain forever in my heart. You were such a great kid, always helping
me and having fun. Here we are at in zoo. This is one of those great memories. You didn't mind going places with me and your cousin and sister. You were a great sport! How could I ever forget all the good times we had.

I will love you always and forever,

They all love you and miss you so much.
We all wish you were here.

Mom, Paul Charles, age 3, Uncle Mark, 1990

June 14, 2009

Today is your mom's birthday and also your Uncle Mark's(your godfather).
You are greatly missed by both of these
people. Uncle Mark was single when you were growing up, and so you were very special to him. He was always there for you in all the things you did.
Now he has a son of his own, Christian
Paul, but he will always love and remember you.
You were and always will be the light of your own mom's eyes, her first born.
No matter how much she loves your siblings, no one can ever take your place in her heart. You have made a
special and permanent place there.
You will be loved and missed always.

Today should be a joyful day,
For it is PawPaw's birthday.
But it will never be the same
since you passed away.
There is a hole in his heart
that just won't heal,
But joyful memories,too,
That no one can ever steal.
His love for you grows more each day,
You're at peace now, and happy, we pray.
You and he had such great times together
And he will love you forever and ever.

John 3:16. Jesus rose from the dead so
that we might live in perfect peace and
happiness in Heaven. We pray that we, too, will meet you there someday. Until that day when we do,we all
will love and miss you always and forever.

Maddie had a very nice birthday Friday.
Your cousins Rachel (your godchild) and Joshua were there. Rachel is 5 now and Josh is about 5 months, both redheads. I cannot see a redhead without thinking
lovingly of you and remembering how much
we love you. This picture shows how much you loved Maddie, as she did you.
You were always entertaining her.
We all will love and miss you forever.

March 27, 2009

Dear Paul,
Today is your sister, Maddie's, 12th birthday. You would be so proud of her;
she is growing up so nicely. She misses you SO much and thinks about you all of the time. She misses the way you would "pick" on her to tease her, and you never did mind if she "picked" on you, in fact, you loved it when she was small. She is like you in so many ways.
She loves acting and singing. She is
in a play at St. Benilde now, Bye Bye Birdie. We all know she gets her inspiration from you. We all wish you could be here to help her celebrate her birthday, as you always were. We will miss your bodily presence,
but know you are with us in spirit.
You are missed and loved by all your family.

small.
We all love and miss you.

LOVE LIVES ON FOREVER
IN THE HEART

Love lives on forever, it will never
fade away,
For in our hearts, our beloved Paul
is with us every day.

From the ones who love you dearly,
on Valentine's Day and every day.

Paul, as Giles Corey, in The Crucible, 2004

December 29, 2008

It's been four years since you went to your rest,
We must trust in the Lord that only
He knows best.
In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still,
In our hearts is a hole that only you
can fill.
Our hearts still ache in sadness, our
eyes still secretly cry,
It broke our hearts to lose you,
and only God knows why.
God knew you had to leave us,
but you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you
the day God called you home.

Loving and missing you forever.

To our precious grandson,
PAUL CHARLES FLEMING III
on your 21st birthday,

IN LOVING MEMORY

Your birthday, Paul, has come again
the day we loved so well,
But you are not here with us,
our love for you to tell.
The ones we love can never be
more than a thought apart,
For as long as there is memory,
you'll live forever in the heart.
As love never fades away
because a loved one's gone,
It remains always in our heart
because love itself lives on.

I think that about says it all.
We will love you always and forever;
you are always in our thoughts and
on our minds; we miss you terribly;
and you will always be remembered as the wonderful boy that you were,
and for all the happiness you brought
to us and everyone aroung you.

Dearest Paul,

Your brother Jake celebrated his 9th birthday on Oct. 27th. Can you believe it? Your baby brother. He was only 5 when you had to leave us. I know you have been looking down on him and can see how big he is now. He would be so proud of his big brother. You would have been such a positive influence on him. Keep on praying for him to improve. I know with your connections up there, you can help him. You always could. We love you and miss you, as does Jake.

You loved to play with her and you could always make her laugh. I know

Today is Maddie's birthday; she is 11 years old now. You always loved her so much. You did not want her to cry or be unhappy when she was small, so you gave in to her all the time. Even as she got older and you
were the typical big brother who loved to aggravate her, you always showed how much you loved her.
She misses all that "sibling rivalry."
She loves you and misses you always. Here is a picture of you and

so i was studying communication studies and the book said something about being in a play and believing you could do something and i thought back to that first practice when we had to stage the cindy/chuck romantic scene and i thought about how i told myself (and you) that i was going to laugh and then we went out there and did an awesome job (no laughing) and i thought, you know, if it wasnt for you, i couldnt have done it because you were all in it and helped stay serious. actually gregory is in this class with me and everytime i see him i think of you. i really do miss you and i think about you often. especially when i see a butterfly. your picture just pops into my head and i really like having that! i just wanted to write that i was thinking about you and you are definately not forgotten! x0x0x - forever your cindy

Today is the St.Patrick's Day parade here in Metairie. I think this was your favorite: from a very young age on Severn and then by Aunt Andrea's house on Metairie, Rd. You always had such a great time. This picture shows you at about 2 years old after
the parade with all your goodies. We (Mom, GG, Aunt De) walked with you down by Rummel in your stroller, but then we had to use your stroller, piled up high,
to get all of the
stuff home. Your red hair just shone in the sun. Everyone who saw
you just loaded you up with beads,
stuffed toys, and cabbages. You were SO cute. It is one of our

LSU vs Notre Dame. I know you will be cheering on LSU along with Mr. Ben and all the other crazy LSU fans up there. You had a great time the last time LSU was here in the Sugar Bowl, and you left us with those great and fun memories.
We wish you could be here attending
the game, and probably attending LSU, too. We keep all those memories forever in our hearts.

To our Dearest Paul:

It's been two years, yet it seems like yesterday.

IN LOVING MEMORY of our precious
grandson!

No time can heal our aching hearts,
Since God called you away
And tore our loving souls apart
Upon that sad, sad day.
But faith is ours in Him above
That when we reach the end,
We'll be together in His home
Our Father and our Friend.

This is a picture of you and Uncle Mark at his wedding, Dec. 10, 2004. You both are such good looking guys. He is your godfather
and he loved you dearly, and still
does. You had such a great time at
the wedding. You needed a little
coaxing, but then started dancing
and cut loose. Those are great
memories.

Merry Christmas Paul

We love you and we miss you.

Mom, Dad, Maddie, Carrie, and Jake

December 24, 2006

Our Dearest Paul,

It is Christmas Eve, our second one
without you. Two years ago, about
this time, you were having brain surgery, and we were praying for your recovery. We all thought you would pull through, but God called
you by name, and you answered His
call. You didn't give up without a fight, though; but in the end, you had to go to Our Lord. We can
understand why He wanted you - you were such a great kid! But we all do miss you terribly, and we always will. No one can take your
place.

Thankfully, your sister went home from the hospital today, so your parents would not have to spend another Christmas in the hospital.
She is doing much better. Please take good care of her.

Your godfather's (Uncle Mark), baby, (Christian Paul) will be 6 weeks old tomorrow. He is a cute little guy. We hope he has red hair like you and Mark, but it is
too soon to tell. You were born with your red hair and surprised us all.

We will be thinking of you tomorrow, as we do every day, but
in a very special way as we remember the 16 joyous Christmases we had with you.

We love you forever and miss you
always,

PawPaw and GG

I never met Paul, but after looking at all of the photos and reading all of the memories, I feel like I have known him forever. He has touched so many lives, including my own! He has brought so much joy to your family. Each time I read an entry, I cry because I can almost feel the pain of missing him, but at the same time, feel the joy and laughter of him. I go to this guest book often to learn about life! It may seem simple to some, but I feel the love of a wonderful family. I only wish that I could do something, but know that I pray, and I can feel the love of others who were close to Paul praying too! May God bless you always, and may this holiday season keep you close to God and his special angels who are always with you!

Our Dearest Paul,

Thanksgiving Day! How we miss you,
today especially, but every day, too.
We wish you could be here with us,
but that was not to be. We give thanks for all our blessings, which
includes having had you in our lives for 17 years, even though the time was way too short. We
never stop thinking about you, and
we will forever love you and miss you.

A LOVING MEMORIAL TO YOU, PAUL

On October thirty-first,nineteen eighty-seven, A baby boy came down from Heaven.
That day he was born was a special day for such a beautiful baby, so perfect in every way.
With that red hair and eyes so blue, it's no surprise, Paul, that baby was you.
You were such a great kid, and oh so smart; you were loved by all, and had everyone's heart.
You wanted a sibling, you kept begging you mother,
So finally God sent you 2 sisters and a brother.
You adored your siblings, and you they did too, a fantastic big brother, always so helpful were you.
You made us all laugh, you made us all smile, you made our lives special, but for just a short while.
Your seventeen years were way too short, but you gave us great memories to keep in our heart.
You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why; our hearts still ache in sadness and our eyes still secretly cry.
You are always with your family, wherever we may go; we'll forever love you dearly, that I hope you know.
And though we cannot see you; you are always at our side, for as long as there is memory, you will always be alive.

To our Dearest Paul, our first
precious grandchild,

Tomorrow you will celebrate your
19th birthday, not as we would have it, but rather, according to God's plan, with Him in Heaven.
We should celebrate because we know
you are an angel watching over us and are happy in your heavenly home. But the gladness of the day is gone for us.

It was with joy that you came into
this world. You were so beautiful -that red hair and blue eyes -you were our Halloween pumpkin baby, a very special day for such a very special baby. You brought such joy and happiness wherever you went. We had a wonderful 17 years
with you; you brought such delight
into our lives. We feel very blessed to have had you for even that short time. We have such great memories which we will carry with us in our hearts forever. They are our priceless treasures.

You know, as in life we loved you
unconditionly, nothing has changed. We still will love you
always and forever. We hope you
will have a big celebration in
Heaven with your family and friends. Meanwhile, we will celebrate your LIFE, that
you LIVED.

Loving and missing you,
GG and PawPaw

Paul Charles!
It has been a while since I last visited this sight to leave a comment, and the funny thing is I don't know why? I am now a freshman at LSU, and everything up here makes me think of you. I know that you would most likely be up here too if you were still with us physically. I struggle with school sometimes and I want to quit but I think about you and how you used to never give up on anything. If you wanted to get to the top of the tree in your front yard, you were going to get to the top, no questions asked. It is funny how it seems like just yesterday we me and Brandon convinced you to play tackle football with us while we were in full pads and you had shoulder pads made of paper plates and yawn. But once again, when Paul said he was going to make shoulder pads, he made them. I see Laura Schultz around campus alot and that always makes me think of you.
I haven't forgotten about you or your family, so don't forget about me. Take adavantage of me living in the trashy dorm and spook me every now and then. I'll be thinking about you on Halloween!
Best Friends Forever and Chunk Change,
Gregory

Aunt D and Uncle Nick's wedding, Sept 14, 1996

September 14, 2006

Hi Paul,

Today is Aunt D and Uncle Nick's 10th wedding anniversary. You were the gift bearer, and the handsomest guy there (except for Uncle Nick). You were not quite 9 years old, and you had a ball!
That is one of our fondest memories
of you-we treasure it in our hearts. We love and miss you always.

August 12, 2006

Hi Paul,

Today is Lovey's birthday (GG's mom), your great-grandmother. You
were very very special to her, as she was to you. So be sure to celebrate with her in Heaven, as you always did while you two were together with us here. We will always remember the wonderful memories of both of you. I am sure you are playing cards together up there and keeping each
other company. Has she taught you how to play canasta yet? She taught all the others, but didn't have the chance with you. We will love you both forever.

For those who have lost a loved one

DO NOT BE SAD

I am here in paradise,

a beautiful place;

The angels led me here to see

the Savior's face.

But I am not gone;

don't weep for me

I am all around;

just look and see.

I am the sunshine that

gives you light,

I am the moon and stars

shining at night;

I am the wind, the rain,

the snow,

I am the flowers that bloom

and the waters that flow;

I am the bird and the butterfly

that swiftly pass you by.

As long as you remember me

I will always be alive;

So do not be sad for me

I am always by your side.
